PopBalloons iPod Compatibility

Hi all,

PopBalloons is not currently compatible with the iPod. This is because it uses the microphone as input for the game. If you accidentally downloaded PopBalloons onto your iPod give me an email and I can send you a free download code for other apps.

I’ve been getting a lot of response to Guppy. Here’s a quick sampling:

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who is enjoying this app. I had a lot of fun with it while I was making it. It’s amazing how many people you can trick.

There’s also been requests for different “themes.” In additional to Gullible we might add other fake-wiki pages like “Idiot” or the like. If you have suggestions post them up!

Silicon Valley: Mophilia has announced their release of a new iPhone app called Guppy. Guppy is an app designed with the prankster in mind by helping the user to create fake Wikipedia pages for all of their friends. The app takes images from the user’s photo library and places them into a Wikipedia page with the heading “Gullible.” It is a new twist on the age old dictionary trick. “Oh, wait, didn’t you know that your picture is next to gullible in the dictionary? No? Well, you should look it up on Wikipedia, your picture is on the front page.”

Silicon Valley: Today the new start up company, Mophilia, Inc., released PopBalloons, an innovative app that uses sound as the controls for the game. PopBalloons may sound simple enough but instead of tapping the screen to make the balloons pop, you make a sound; the sounds then activate the laser. PopBalloons also offers users the choice of “popping” LOL Cats.

PopBalloons v1.0 Released!

The first version of PopBalloons has been released (Download here). PopBalloons is a new type of game that uses sounds, your sounds, to fire a laser and, well, pop balloons. Just snap your fingers, whistle, or whatever. It’s fun for the whole family (but not so much for lol-cats)!
